About Us
Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth is a free Bible study site that helps believers and seekers understand Scripture in its proper context, see God’s distinct purposes for Israel and the Body of Christ, and rest in the grace He has given us in His Son.
Many sincere Christians open the Bible wanting to understand it, only to find instructions that seem to contradict one another. Should we keep the law or live under grace? Sell all we have, or work with our hands? Be baptized for the remission of sins, or be saved by faith alone? Much of that confusion disappears when we notice who a passage was written to and when.
Our name comes from the apostle Paul’s charge to Timothy to be a workman who handles the word of truth rightly. We believe the whole Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that it unfolds God’s plan in stages. Rightly dividing that plan, especially the difference between what God promised to Israel through the prophets and the mystery He revealed through Paul, is the key that unlocks the rest.
Whether you are new to the Bible, preparing a lesson, or have studied for decades, our hope is that you leave each page with a clearer understanding of God’s Word, a settled assurance of your salvation, and a deeper love for its Author.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.2 Timothy 2:15 · KJV
Rightly dividing does not remove any part of the Bible. It recognizes that God has worked in different ways at different times, and reads each passage in light of the program it belongs to.
Spoken by the prophets “since the world began” and centered on the nation of Israel, the Messiah, and His earthly kingdom.

We distinguish prophecy from mystery, and Israel’s program from the Body of Christ.
Sound doctrine should lead to faith, humility and a changed life, not just more information.
These convictions shape every article on the site.
